Pia Owens is an Associate in the firm’s Business Department. She maintains a general business practice, advising public and private companies on a wide range of matters including formation, venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance issues, and general corporate matters. She also advises nonprofit organizations on incorporation, obtaining tax-exempt status, and ongoing compliance.
Prior to law school, Pia worked as a software engineer at companies including IBM and Oracle, specializing in developing Internet applications to facilitate collaboration within businesses and schools. During law school, Pia served as the Production Editor of the Journal of Law and Technology and as a Director of the Harvard Mediation Program.
