Managing Partner
Arctaris Capital Partners, LLC
Andy has launched his newest venture from the Emerging Enterprise Center consisting of a royalty or revenue-based venture capital fund. The Fund offers companies a unique type of financing consisting of debt that is repaid as a percent of revenue, not a percent of equity in the company as with most venture investments. Repayment can vary over time as a company’s fortunes go up and down, giving it flexibility.
Andy previously co-founded Brook Venture Fund II, a $100M venture fund, and two other funds before that, and also managed Federal Street Capital, which did private placements primarily on behalf of Brook Fund portfolio companies. He has raised money or invested in more than 40 companies. His career has spanned consulting (Arthur D. Little), corporate (Equifax, Inc.), and transatlantic investment banking (Downer & Co.), with a focus on medical as well as information technology. He also founded a company that published a series of publications focusing on mergers & acquisitions which he sold to a division of Thompson, some of which are still published today. Andy received his B.S. From Clarkson University and his MBA from Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College.
