Bob Fleming has been a venture capitalist and entrepreneur since 1985. Before co-founding Sempre, he founded Prism Venture Partners in 1995. As Managing Partner, he grew the firm from inception to become a major Boston-based early-stage venture capital firm with $1.25 billion under management in five funds. Prism is known for taking leadership roles in its companies, combining extensive operating and entrepreneurial experience with investment expertise. For the two years prior to founding Prism, Mr. Fleming was a General Partner with Norwest Venture Partners. Before Norwest, he was with The Vista Group for eight years, where he served as General Partner for two Vista-affiliated Funds and opened and managed the Southern California office. Mr. Fleming has primarily invested in telecommunications, semiconductors, software, and medical devices. He has served as a director of approximately 30 venture-backed companies.
